Overview
GrowBites solves a daily struggle for busy parents: delivering wholesome, child-approved, nutritionist-certified school lunches directly to classrooms at affordable price points.
I was brought in as founding engineer to architect the complete technical stack from ground zero: parent ordering portal, recurring subscription billing, commercial kitchen ERP, and dispatch management.
Parent portal & flexible subscription modals
Engineered an intuitive mobile-first parent experience allowing families to configure weekly menus, specify allergen exclusions, and pause or reschedule meal days dynamically without cancelling subscriptions.
Implemented recurring payments via Razorpay Subscriptions and UPI AutoPay, handling automated mandate retries, invoice generation, and instant receipt dispatch via WhatsApp.

Kitchen operations & automated route dispatch
Built a bespoke real-time admin portal for commercial kitchen staff that aggregates daily orders into ingredient preparation lists, portion weights, and packaging batch labels.
Integrated geolocation clustering algorithms that group school deliveries into optimized driver drop-off routes, ensuring all hot meals arrive 20 minutes before school lunch bells.
Business growth & reliability
The platform scaled seamlessly to over 25,000 monthly meals across 45+ partner schools with 99.98% platform uptime, maintaining a 92% retention rate among enrolled families.
